Headed up Thursday and friday
Any advise or words of wisdom headed up for a couple of days to swing some flies and hopefully have some takers

aim for the big white chunky fish  we floated the upper river last saturday, most of the steelies we saw were in the faster moving water, or qued up behind king redds egg patterns and buggers

Ill be up floating on friday, "out in the cold rain and snow" great steelhead weather! Bring beads, sacs or eggs patterns theres lots of hungry fish.

Heard a rumor they let their girlfriends make the set lists up so if its cold, rainy and snowing you may have a good chance. I have not seen any shows since dylan 15 or 16 years ago. Good luck tomorrow but im kinda hoping for a solid rain all day and the river to go up to 750cfs then the plug rods come alive, but I can be a bead head if it dont.

Plenty of fish down low today--leaves were pretty bad though--oak hatch
Steel on a pin---so easy a caveman can do it.

Keep changing. Green hot eggs. Orange black egg sucking leach. Green egg estrac. Dont hesitate to keep. Changing it up. Cold. Night tonight rain and snow over night same for the morning

Here's my report from yesterday as promised. Fished down low all day. First fish on 3rd cast was a 15" male steely  Then landed 5 others. My buddy landed 7. First few fish were on sacs but most ended up taking a small bright pink glo bug fly. Single egg imitation worked better than egg sacs. We were just drifting with very little weight, no floats. All were in rippled water. 1 of the fish was a nice female brown. We had over 25 strikes between 3 of us. Many other catching steel as well. We did have 1 salmon hit an egg sac but were unable to land. Now it's off to see furthur tonight. Life is good  LLP

just want to say thanks to all you fish usa people my last long trip of the season was this past week had a great time picked up a 19lb rainbow (my biggest yet) thanks for all the tips you people posted. i hope brent from the salmon river angler reads this a specal thanks to you for helping out my brother and just giving up some honest info. also mike from fish on hay thanks for putting up with us this year
highlite of the year meeting some great people on the river and seeing some old ones hope next year is just as good. GOD BLESS YOU ALL and may HE show you what side of the river to fish on.
