I have a spare in my fanny pack, because I did exactly the same thing......However, I did arrive at my tree one day early this season without my arrows. I bought a new hard case this year and my quiver actually attaches to a mount inside the case, which is exactly where it was when I got to my tree. In past years I could leave my quiver on the bow in my case and just grab it ang go. Old habits die hard. Unfortunatley a spare quiver does not fit in my fanny pack.

Better too far back, than too far forward.

I use a Scott Sabertooth and Velcro the strap directly to the lower limb when not in use. If I have my bow I have my release. Too many times I headed out and wondered if I had everything in my pack. Stumbling around looking in your pack while dark one can drop something and not be aware. The release on the bow works for me.

I keep my release on my bowstring but I do have a spare in my fanny pack.

Did climb up 25 ft. in my climber one day last year and in the AM darkness, didn't see the branch my arrahs got snagged on while hauling my bow up. One gentle tug and all 4 arrahs hit the ground... Long, sweaty climb back down and up the tree that morning.
