I know last weekend nobody was perch fishing but what happened October 7,8,9 before the gale force winds?

Don't you know that you're supposed to put them all belly up? Harry won't have many dots to connect in that pic...

Funny year for perch, when it was hot they were still in the 50 to 60 ft. depth, when it started to cool off they moved out in the 75 to 80 ft depth. I guess that's where the bait was .....

I went perching out of Conneaut, OH on the 9th. The lake was dead calm. It was pretty slow for the most part, just picking at them at every location, but we still almost got a 6 person limit(for Ohio). By the end of the day we didn't set up anchore and just drifted and got a lot of fish that way. Lots of dinks, but also some nice ones. We were fishing mainly in 70-74 FOW.

I am getting ready to head to the North Pier today in pursuit of some perch from shore. I think it ought to be a nice day to try at least. Winds W10MPH, High in the 50's with only 20% chance of rain.

Good Luck and let us know how you do..

I have often wondered if the fishing was worth a trip up there just to fish off the pier by where the Edward John and O Dany O dock ??
