Beginner fisher

Hey all, I am just getting involved with fishing and was wonderin if anyone could give me some good advice on gear? right now I am looking to purchace a center pin rod and reel but dont know what kind to get. any help possible will be appreciated

    I remember someone put that reel in my hand and asked if it was a good enough reel to use. lmao.

    Dan, you need to get a few more trips under your belt before you go and blow a bunch of money on one of these setups.

    Thanks for noticing, yeah that reel belonged to my buddy Bill, not that theres anything wrong with owning one...he has caught plenty of fish on it in the river near the house since then, until he upgraded to a Sheffield....At $35 not a bad "starter" investment.

    Just buy a 2 handed fly rod and start swinging. You will get bored witrh the pin and want to upgrade. So why not start at the top?

    Yes Paul I do put twists in my lines. But as the picture shows its all in the air. When you put a twists in your line its all at your feet. HA!!!!!!!!
