11/16

Crowds were down and the weather was way nicer than they were forcasting. Took my buddys son to try again for his first salmon and on a fly. We went down below trestle again and found lots of open water, started swinging and after half an hour I hit a nice steelie, handed it to him and he was able to land it about 12lbs or so. Hooked up probably 10 or so more times was able to hand of most to him and he landed two kings. Got quiet from about 11 till almost 1 and started picking up again, had a pretty fresh hen slam a purple with pink eggsucking leech and I fought and released her. Around 2 it started to rain and he had to work at 4 so we headed out. Good day I thought.

    Sounds like you had a better time there than me today, but not really knowing what I am doing will put a damper on things  :0)   .   Probably passed you somewhere along the way as I was there too, I fished mostly around the bend from the 3 anchored drift boats and then right after the big hill with the ropes today.

     Looks like you looked at the date on my thread and put it in yours  we were a month ahead of ourselves

    Stay positive Clint It will all click for you, been fishing that stretch last 5 trips up. I think its good fly water with a couple nice holds that allow more than one cast to each fish stopping there.
