Strangely colored Steelhead

I was fortunate enought this AM to hook into a strange colored steelhead and was hoping someone could help me either A) Confirm it's a steelhead or B) ID the fish. The fish was a bruiser, pinkish orange down the sides and a white strip down the bottom of the fish, sorta colored like a brookie. The fish took a spinner and was lost a fter a tail walk and roll, snapped the treble off. It was about double the size of the steelie i had landed earlier (also released). Can anyone help?

    No one can help without a pic.  Your size comment really means nothing at all, steelhead come in different sizes.  It's common to land 2 steelhead in the same spot and have one be 2x or 3x bigger than the other.

    which one is the weasel ?  bottom right or top left ?

    But to answer your question ChuckH   ,  without a pic its tough to ID a verbal description. Unless you take the verbal description and google it. maybe you will find a pic of what you saw.

    As someone else said, sounds like a brown.

    Any chance a tiger got mixed in with the lot of stocked browns?  Could explain some of the pink/orange and the looking like a brookie.  I'm from WV, and it happens all the time down here.  Tigers are relatively common, even (especially) in fingerling stocked streams.

    those are some interesting experiments.
    i'll try to ID them.
    let me take another hit first. puffff, hold, exhale.

    1. a racoon/groundhod that just got its hair shampood but the salon forgot to give it a manicure. nice sandals!

    2. the result when a dingo finds a wolf in heat that has silly putty hanging out of its mouth.

    next row;
    3. a cross between a weasel and a cheetah that got bit by some kind of vampire
    4. a breeding of a coyote, deer and bear (nose). must have been a threesome with the coyote being the female.

    next row;
    5. a vampire bob cat that bit the weasel/cheetah

    6. i have no idea what the h3ll that is!!
