And people wonder why we don't see many deer up north (Clear Creek especially) anymore. Keep shooting all the does until they are all gone.

I am fortunate to be able to hunt an area closer to home where the landowners do not allow anyone to harvest a doe. This has been going on for about 7 years now and guess what, it is not uncommon to see 50+ deer in one day. That's what I call deer management.

The farmers where I hunt would have nothing to do with this plan. They encourage our whole family to purchase doe tags.

evidently Socom_16 - who has like 9 posts in three years - has decided to jump on the
"bash Doc" band wagon and brought OA along once again...

I would make one comment on his post where he mentions Clear Creek and that he does not
get there much... that's probably the exact reason he feels there are no deer there...
anyone that lives around here can and will tell you that is just BS...

At prime times for seeing deer you can't even ride around on the state forest without seeing deer from the road.. They have about a dozen roads that were just opened two weeks ago that hunters are allowed to travel and some of them are really long... that's where the deer are..

I had a guy come from Harrisburg last year that had bought 2 DMAPS for there and wanted me to show him some spots in August and September. Everytime he came back to the area for further scouting before rifle season he saw deer...

But he had a change in work schedule and did not get here for rifle season but has returned for scouting this year...

I saw deer there last year and even posted photos of them... scouted there only twice so far and saw deer both times including two shooter bucks.. also some spikes again this year ???

but did see deer everytime I drove thru to get to the Clarion to fish this summer...

So if you're thinking about trying Clear Creek don't listen to the guys saying there are no deer there.. they know there are and they just don't want others hunting there and finding it a good spot in 2F.... just get to one of the recent opened raods.. drive away from the main raod a ways.. stop park get out and wlak around.. tip.. acorns are really spread out this year.. you'll have to look for them...

That right there should tell you something Doc ! I don't see any other member that gets pounded like you do. Do you need someone to explain it to you in terms that a 5th grader could understand ?

Don't let Doc discourage you guys from posting. His own site is stagnate so he comes here to flap his lips much of which is BS.
