2011 PA Buck Down

Just to report... Monday evening was a great one to be in the woods after the rain cleared out. I was fortunate enough to be on stand and watch 6 different bucks fighting, scraping, and tearing up every tree in the area. I was on the ground and had to move in order to get in position for a shot. After an hour of stalking and sneaking, I was able to get in close and put a good shot on one of the better ones in the group. He is a nice 9 with a split G3 on one side. One of my more memorable hunts.

Thanks Guys, appreciate the compliments. OA, in my mind you are correct... Getting close on the ground is a whole different ball of wax where a lot of moving parts all have to come together perfectly (pretty cool deal). Now it's time for the kids (hopefully photos coming there too) and then off to Ohio.

Nice, the ground hunt had to be a blast.

Excellent job-- was bowhunting Fall Turkey once and a group of 5 doe came right into my setup. Were goin nutso each time I called. Got two without ever moving my feet.
Have taken some while still hunting with the bow and they are flat out the most appreciated harvests ever- no matter the size.
