I'd really like to try and recycle some breathable waders into some of these
 
Oh no, I just threw out an old pair of waders a couple of weeks ago. 
I held on to them for over a year thinking I could find a use for them. Never did.
 
 
Anyhow, the rod sock and reel pouch came out sweet.
All fuzzy and warm....Atta boy, girl.

Amy, that sleeve (or sock) is very nice. The colors will look great against the rod Skip built. What others are you making up? I'm donating a 9 foot 2 piece for the top sub-junior.

We made 4 today that are for 3 piece rods, but I can make one that is longer for a 2 piece... can you send me a picture so I can try and use complementing colors for yours too?

We have  decided to call them "Anorak" instead of sleeves or socks, because each one is hand made, they deserve a cooler name....LOL
and actually it is kinda fitting

Rod is packed and ready to travel tomorrow. That's how I threw my back out today. Trying to pick up the trailer tongue when it fell off the stand. The rod is a dark purple with bright red highlights; older eagle claw I found in a shop.

 I have a pair of old breathable waders still laying around,why.... I dunno, but now Im glad I still have them.

I should, I wasn't really impressed with the ones that I found in a google search. they all looked cheap and flimsy. If anyone knows of some quality rod socks and can provide a link for my research, I'd appreciate it

all my rods after 2005 have been 4pce. except for my 3 pc. diamondglass.
more convenient and doesn't look conspicuous on the harley.
