I've been looking at different ice fishing plastics and creme lures plastics. Lots of little buggy looking lures out there. Anybody try anything like this on stream steel? I bought a pack of berkley power nymphs ill give them a try. But there's some other very good lookin ones out there.

We use soft plastics in the form of powerworms and glup minnows.  Both have worked.

Watched a guy on Elk last year absolutely crush fish on gulp minnows while everybody else just stood there and got schooled. Fish were there in good numbers. Not hitting any of the traditional stuff. I mean nothing. And this guy was hooking up every cast.

Very cool dude too. Had my 7 year old son with me on his first steelhead experience, and this guy let him catch several fish on his set up.

first of all, beads are not for girls, back on the west coast we would catch 40+ lb salmon on them beads, and what do they use to make crawler harnesses? lol.

I've used the trout worms w limited success but some of the scud and nymph imitations look very good too.

I just hope you don't fish those beads on a fly rod. Then we got a problem.

Soft playoff I use are trout worms, trout magnets in clear silver with sparkles or the salmon color I've only found online it's purple and cream. Ive also had success with floating mice tails and gulp 2" minnows

Frank can wail on some fish. I was fishing with him 8 or 9 years ago on lower Walnut. He was catching them pretty good and someone got jealous and got the WCO saying he was snagging.

Bingo. Heard all about him on here over the years. Soon as he said his name was Frank, I said, "Are you Loudmouth Frank?" Think the name hurts his feelings a little

Super cool to my son though. He must have let him land 7 or 8 fish that morning, including a legit 12 pounder. Made our day for sure, as I got my son hooked up with exactly 0 fish.
