Altoona Trip Inquiry

Hello all,

I'll be up that way for my wife's cousins wedding October 7-9. I've fished Little J once with a guide a year ago (off either Babe or Limestone (right off 453) and off Spruce Creek Rd) and was hoping to head out w/o a guide this time. Anyone have any recommendations or plan on fishing that weekend? My only time to fish will be early on Saturday Oct 8th (need to be back and cleaned up by 5:00).

Also - any patterns sizes you recommend tying up would be great.

    The river has been fishing well, and it's been pretty much empty of fishermen. Slate drakes, #22 bwo's, and #18 tan caddis have been hatching, and the fish are on them starting in the early afternoon on most days.

    Underneath... isonychia nymphs, tan caddis pupas, tiny pheasant tails, and small cranefly larvas have been the ticket.
