The preferred method with invasive species is to slit them, puncture the air bladder and throw them back.

Sorry, I forgot. You are correct. But make sure you throw it back in the water. I wouldn't even want a raccoon getting its mits on that unfortunate excuse for a fish.

Wonderful fish. Congratulations to the young lady. That would make a lot of trout w/lemon sauce. Taste way better than steelies.

BTW: That fish would be 60 points!

since you had no problem tanning a hide as a show & tell project,

u should show your students how to wrap sacs (school fund raising possibility)

just trying to helpz you out.....

I would guess close to a quart of eggs, which would be about 10 baby food jars, we use to get 100 bags from one jar, so that would be about 1,000 bags. Too bad, it was probably skein

Indy; you're right; many frown on the brown meat but I have enjoyed it myself...

Glen; loose eggs are definitely best; but if cut/quartered/cured properly; skein can produce well... by the looks of the anus on the fish though; those eggs may be nearing loose

That is true but like the cavemen we evolved and no longer want to deal with the mess of eggs or skein. If you want to release a fish it's hard to do with skein hooked fish.[usually they swallow it] If you want fish to eat it doesn't matter. CNR or eat, I could care less

Why? IMO nothing milks like skein...its gooey, its messy and its a PIA to work with, but it blows away loose eggs anyday....for me...and I don't use it like most do

THATS a matter of opinion and a matter of personal experience. singles tied in a sack are definitely prettier, thats about it

Great fish. Beautiful picture. It's amazing that some people can't leave well enough alone. Must be jealousy. If I was her Dad, I would tell all the haters to kiss my butt, not quite that nicely though.Get over it. All the pictures of dead walleye and perch and no word at all......WF
