Eastern Trib Report

I fished the eastern tribs on saturday morning. Got there around 5:30AM and there were about 4 cars in the lot already. I headed right to the mouth. It was all looking good with the creek mouth blown open with alot of water coming through. I started fishing in the outflow, however, not much was happening out there. The water was super dirty, maybe 6 inches of visibility. I moved farther upstream where I saw one or two people hook up. Saw a couple more hook ups and then the people left. I fished this hole along with a really nice guy from west virginia all day. We both managed 5 steelies. I had 3 others but missed them. By the end of the day the water level came down at least a foot and started to get really clear and the bite completely turned off. I was very surprised when I hooked up with this guy at about 3:30PM. I can't wait to get back up there again...and I like this rain that's coming through.

    that's unpossible, all the mouths are blocked shut.

    I don't know where or what flies you were fishing but 20 mile was on fire all day saturday, but now all of the feesh are gone.

    I am waiting for FiveMilePete to tell me it's good before I come over there to fish.....so far, it's a bust.

    HC steel, were you fishing farther up the creek? In the morning up till about 10 o'clock I only saw 3 fish brought in. I moved a little upstream and saw about 4 fish hooked up in a hole. I caught 5 and my buddy caught 5 in that hole, but other than that I only saw 1 person hook up and that was farther up the creek. However, I couldn't see that far up the creek from where I was. All were on the secret color for the day, every single fish.

    I went back Saturday night and my brother went Sunday morning. We managed one on Saturday night but it really seemed to have slowed down. On sunday my brother said there were some fish around but it was really low clear = not the best conditions.
