report 9/22

Well the same buddy and I floated the upper end again today, not as good as yesterday. There were less fisherman but also much less salmons. First boat off the launch about 615 or so same fishs in the kiddie pool, floated down to above schoolhouse, plugged that and tail off schoolhouse, wire hole, frasiers run all the way down around the bend to muskrat, not a hit and very few shooting by the boat. Swung flies in muskrat for 45 minutes or so moved on, plugged bovines not a fisherman in there or fish, below bovines in the shallow stretch small group of hoes were running up and down being chased by 4 dudes. down to trestle with not a spotting, there were a couple above trestle and still a good number in the trestle tring to dodge the lead. Down around the bend from trestle we pulled over and tried the spot and got technique, I will admit I broke out the flossing equipment and now I feel dirty. Fished there for 2 hours walking and glassing, anything that came by was moveing one cast if you were lucky enough to see them before they went shooting bye. Floated down to above the fridge and saw another small group of hoes go screaming by, flung two casts at them and they were gone. Down thru fridge very little fish in there, same with the can. Around the bend from the can we let the plug rods out again, made it 50 yards and left front folded over hard, 30 feet in front off the boat a coho came out of the water all of 3 feet, straightened the dam hook and was gone. That was the excitement of the day, In my honest opinion if your coming up this weekend, go low Im not gonna go back till sunday, gonna chase them eyes tomorrow.

    Nice report.
What time did you go through the fridge area.
I fished it around 10am and then the island upriver til about 11:45.
No boats went through unless they had steath tech and snuck by on the north side of the island.

I was home by 245, which means off the river by 115 so that puts me in your area around 1200 or 1230 ish. I do run the north side of the island when the water is higher, no sense in rolling over other peoples fish if I dont have to.

3fan you must of been pushing off from the snag as I was starting slogging up the hill to my car.
Couldn't have not been more than minutes.
When you came below the island was there a guy tight to the north bank just above the riffle that flows into the fridge?
He walked in to the river behind me and thats where I left him chase one upriver tight to the bank.

Very well could be, we saw knowbody from the snag to the boat ramp. Got to the ramp and two guys with the longest rods I have ever seen were dragging a beautiful male hoe across the lot, freshie. Still have only seen about 5 kings total this year up top. All hoes.

That's not a good sign for me. Maybe I should try the ballpark first instead of Ellis. I never fished below there so I guess that might be my low point.

CP, I would advise against going to that lower area now.. Last week we pulled in there thinking maybe, but it was azzholes & elbows as far as the eye could see.. We quickly left..
I'd personally rather catch nothing in a peaceful area then deal with that shoulder to shoulder windmill stuff ..

I feel your pain. Finally signed up for photobucket even though Google photoalblum works flawlessly elsewhere.

Too much effort for me to go through all the motions anymore - google or not.

Hopefully, the site update that Slammo mentioned will include direct upload from the user's harddrive....then I think more folks would post pics and such.

    You can get it boys.
Even a computard like me gets it right every once in a while.
I do have to figure it out again every time.
Don't know what happened to my short (and long) term memory?
Close as I could come to the sombero wering reefhead.

    3fan.... DT...

This site is not too picture friendly, but here are a few tips that may help....

    1) resize your pic, you may have an automated resize program on your browser under Tools or View or it may be in your picture/photo folder. Resize to 150-200 kb max

    2) when you post, write your comments then hit enter twice to to skip a line..click on embed picture in post...then click on Click here to upload!...you will get the box that asks for your pic...search file from your computer, click on pic, hit ok, the you'll get message box again, click on OK, you'll then get message saying file upload successfully, then click on View Message.

You cannot preview pics before posting, so just click on OK

    Hope this helps.

    Fishusa
    Photobucket
Press image where I want the pic on usa
go to photobucket press share under the pic, press the img, then right click copy
reopen usa place cursor inside the image box and right click paste.

    You may have to resize.

I just save the pic to my pictures library and shrink it down to 580.... I then simply click on upload pics and then click browse; this automatically takes me to my picture library; I don't know how but it does... then I simply click on the pic and then after it uploads I fleck on embed pic in post.... took me a while to get quick with it but it works for me now.... hope this helps as well...

test of oldsalt's direct upload pic tutorial

first pass rejected - pic size was 280kb (first pic resize failure)

reized via Microsoft paint - Google picassa has every nitwit button known to man for social network BS but I can't find resize - I'm a photo tard...

second try - sleepy dog, no feesch for you HT.

you do get a confirmation message that pic was accepted b4 you hit post...

it's still a PIA - digital cameras offload to PC at BIG Size, then you must re-size, yada, yada,,, yeah - I know - I'm a whiner....
