East Side

Spent the entire day scouting the area and here is the report:

There are a few fish staging at all of the eastern tribs. Not big numbers at all and not worth the gas to get there. All of the mouths are blocked up and the fish can't get in to the tribs. The rain this evening didn't really do much to help matters. We are going to need a soaking rain (at least an inch) to open up the mouths of the eastern tribs. I noticed a lot of fish staging at 4 mile (probably more than any other creek). I actually went up to my car and chucked some spoons in the lake and hooked up w/ 3 and landed 2 in the lake at 4 mile.

My buddy went to the western tribs and reported the same. A few fish in the tribs and some staging in the lake.

I live about 20 minutes outside of Erie and will be posting pics when the numbers hit the tribs. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to PM me. I am going to check things out again on Sunday and will post a detailed report for everyone.

Good luck. It is almost here. About another week or so.

Watch out for the Squatch at 20 mile just below the Blairwitch project hole. Hes a lurking. I heard a feller went missing last weekend. HCsteel and papinner could have some more info on the matter. Stay tuned for more.

Be sure to wear your helmet down there the squatch can really chuck rocks. We heard the squatch the other night its aim is getting better. Also a locator beacon might not be a bad idea.

Are the Sasquatch up to Rt. 5 yet?

You do realize that there WAS a sighting reported in that area?

Thought I saw one last week but it turned out to be just another Amish fisherman.
I recommend fishing late evenings  and early AM as I once heard that they're afraid of the dark.
Not sure if that's true or not but you'll never catch me out fishing mid afternoon, all alone, standing on the beach, whistling by the graveyard.

Trust me they are not deterrent reports.... I walked the mouth the other day and the truth is there are nothing but big pools of water at the mouths of the ones I walked .. Just a trickle entering the lake...

I didn't see one single fish as I'm sure nobody else did either.

They seem to be attracted to all the poison ivy, oak and sumac growing on the banks.

Guys I'm not even kidding around. I was really scared and doubt I'll ever go back. It was that bad! Copperheads everywhere.

I got that poison oak too, in the bad place, had to go to the doctor last night, so embarrassing.

And the Lake Erie Monster at the Bayfront, and quicksand on the penninsula!

But actually the report about the east side is unfortunately very true. There is NO water in the (east side) Really need a gutter buster to get the mouths open.

We finally got the much needed rain. 12 mile is full of fish. Fill the gas tanks. Haven't seen fish in 12 mile like this since 2002.

No Jack, that's McDannel Run. It runs through Lawrence Park Golf course. I have never seen one living thing in that creek, not even a bug. And I played that course for 30 years, was a member for 8.

I walked the Eastside Creeks on Tuesday.

Mouths are closed off and not 1 Steelie was in the creeks..

Only saw 4 amish at 12 Mile trying to snag some in the lake...

Some of you crack me up.lol Thanks for the good wake up. As far as the reality, did y'all see the forecast for the coming week? They should be opened up by the end of next week! Typical fall. Goose season is always shifty and then come the rains just before small game. We really aren't too far behind.

Best fishes to you and yours!!
