I verify Dime's post. Absolute mayhem although that is where I was taken on my first trip. Glad those days are over-this forum was a factor that sped up the learning curve.To all newcomers, stick around-it helps.You may even meet some really cool people.

salmo; i fished for 2 hours on friday and i probably recieved somewheres arounds 25 work calls... yuckkeee... after taking a few of them; i eventually just tuned it out; or actually the sound of my drag did a good job of doin that...

kinda forgot how ugly it is.
first real trip ive had since I hurt my back a few years ago. one day had my back thumping on those riva rocks.
back and arm held up fine. switched from 8 wt to 6 because of a bum fly line first day. the 8 had a cheapie that wouldnt shoot and got caught in the surface tension and made bad drag. the 6 had new rio and was magic. the rod handled the fish good but only 400 cfs if that.
cant believe the ho jynx is broken. still no trutta tho.
I may need to come up in the cold to break that one.

They are acomin Salmo saw a coupla real nice ones on a stringer while gawking at the show down by the ballpark. Too bad cause ya know the deal there is kinda like Tresel- but they were there. BTW - this place is HOPPIN tonight- lotsa fun.

Dime the 2 on stringers were like footballs and good length too- real colored up already. Certainly NOT those drop- back skinny things

Nice fish there. Solid 7#, maybe 8. I see he strung a couple ho's too. We had some of mine tonight. Orange meat & it tastes out of this world. WB- I steaked it. Hehehe. Actually thought about getting it mounted but everyone said they are good eating. Beautiful fish. The King I landed was a beauty too. Just getting a little bronze color. I did a diasection to see if I caught a true Chho or a hybrid. I counted 69 so I guess it's a true Ho. Here's the info on how to tell- part of an article ... A cross between a coho and its larger cousin, a chinook (king) salmon is determined by cutting a small slice in the fish’s belly and pulling out its pyloric caeca — finger-shaped pouches located where the intestine and the stomach meet. The number of pyloric caeca ranges from 53 to 80 in cohos and 124 to 209 in chinooks. Hybreds have a pyloric caeca count in the 94-100 range.

Salmo he caught more than a couple; he hit that hellen keller run on saturday.... Tuna; agreed with facebook; im not a member; but; at the bottom of the dsr home page you can click on the facebook icon and view the dsr page even if you're not a member...

Guys- I forgot the best memory of my trip. Whiles I was a walking to my pool on Tues. morning I see a new black and char. pinner bobber on the ground just at the edge of the trail. I took a nice long pee on it and went on my way.
