Sept-16-17-18

Skunked--Yep nothing- saw a few but no hookups for RT- Did tonsa yard stuff and got out above the ball park each day in mid afternoon for coupla hours- Yep the WORST part of any fishing day.
Household obligations were the big part of this trip as well as Dimes thing and fishing had to be secondary this time.
Had a  great time at the get together over at Dimes on Sat evening- the guys had hooked up real good down at DSR as well- congrats. Those fish have yet to get to the 81 area  though. Surprised- Hos are usually faster that that.
REAL nice to put faces with the tags we see here. Great bunch.
A few cars here and there and little pressure up at the Fly Zone. The Ballpark area is a sideshow and pretty well packed up with guys all 3 days.
The big lots had cars but not very many yet. Up river has very little pressure Ellis is practically empty all 3 days.
There are more fish than a coupla weeks ago but they are spotty unless your bottom draggin a big pool or real fishin for anything new at DSR.
They are still comin. Next week mid week Ill try again.
Looks to me like a few pods have come in but not a real RUN as yet. Cept maybee them slow Hos from Sat.

One day pushes (no matter how good a push),does not a river filling run make!

Sorry no fishues but as Salmo and I discussed yesterdat, its about the fushing not the catching.
Thats why the ball field is no fun for me even if that is where the bulk of the fish are.
The overall experience suxs no matter how many fish I hook.

Rather have a hundred yards of water with 8 peole max as long as there are a few fish to keep you interested.

Yesterday those Coho were packed in the town pool, looking off the bridge the water was black with them. The shore was lined with "fisherman" and many fish on stringers. Was hoping that they ran the river up to me but the low water must be slowing them down.
Going out now to see if there are some players in the LFZ,so far that has been very slow.

spent friday night on the estuary with a couple freinds
got 3 nice kings, the hens eggs were fairly loose, enough so that i can pop them out of the skein and tie eggs sacks
there were alot of fish, more in the lake ready to run
alittle rain and it should be on
and guess what they are calling for all week :)

    nice report guys...

RT - don't fret about the SKUNK, I'm like you and Wader, I'd rather sit on a rock -vs- the military style fishing around the Town Pool & BallPark.

Glad to hear you met up with DB. Did you come away with a custom deluxe autograded wife-beater t-shirt?

Were you still there at 4pm Sun?
Drove by happy camp on my way home and there were a couple vehicles there.

Almost stopped but I didn't have any Natty to share.
