Blues bros play at the Joss

We won't talk numbers, unless it was the heigth of the wave coming up river . We won't say it was Ray Charles stupid, it was HELEN KELLER STUPID.  Deaf, blind, one armed and falling down drunk stupid. A major memory filed away. Thanks again to Tuna- a great fishing partner. If you heard it was  an epic  run of Cohos sat., you heard right. Orange was the color of the day for me, not pink this time. Red was good , too . Tuna was right on. Brought my Mom home a bunch of fillets (salmon is her favorite food) , we  got some smoked, met a bunch of great guys, had fun talking with everyone. Dime got me more psyched for steel, shared some ideas and techniques with me, can't wait for it to chill.
There's some good dudes hanging on this board. That can be put in the bank. I had so much fun it should have been illegal.

Heard the DSR was slow or dead-  Ho's moved on into town. We looked at the upper fly and fished a little at the lower fly, I left early.

Half dozen cars along route 13 not in the old cleaning-parking area.
Saw a couple guys struggling to drag some out on the way to DBs-Altmar.
Two guys had a bunch on a branch over there shoulders on my way back home.
They all ooked like kings at 55mph.

Hey guys I'm back.. Quit early and what a fitting way to end salmon season.. Charlie I love the title, I was always called Jake in my early days..

It was a blast and we hit 2 stellar trips to say the least.. From here on until I get a free ride the last week in Oct I'm done on the SR for Salmon..
Will be fishing at least every other day for something.. Going to go against Dr. orders and put the pack & raft on for Brookies. Cool temps, nice days are just too hard to resist.. Who cares, you only live once..

So just a heads up, any reports, pic's given for awhile will be about the "other" fish and some 4 legged animals.. Heading to deer camp sat.. There is a trout stream too

Now I know Fichy is a great photographer but we (myself included have to work on our picture taking..
I cropped my camera shots and pretty sure I'm getting the first 2 Framed & mounted..

Lastly here are some more boring pic's from a GREAT day on the water with a Friend indeed !!!

    Still has fly in mouth

I don't mind being Elwood...   Kind of looked like you were playin' A7, I was bending  G to A on the 8th fret. Your solo's coming up next chorus.  Silver's my favorite color. Well ,green is, but it's a close second....  may have to get that Flytepacker raft  stuffed into the pack again, worked on Vermont and Sierra   specs, s'pose it'll boat some 'dack ones too.  Salmon season was done right, and done well. My 92 year old Mom had some of her salmon today and loved it. She 's gonna make me an apple pie to thank me. Great trade. Gotta love the SR.

    Thanks for the comment cp..
The camera is a waterproof Olympus Stylus 550wp..
It takes OK pictures , I believe the cannons, Kodiaks or if your rich Nikon take much more crisp pictures but I got tired of destroying them with water..
I have had this camera for 3 years now and it takes a lickin' but keeps on tickin so I would recommend it..

What I do with the pictures after I transfer to my computer is to zoom in (the second one is 35%) then crop them to fit..
I do like to try and cut out my mug and focus more on the fish. Then I send them after I get the look I want to online wal mart photo and have them enlarged to 5x8 or 8x10 , go pick them up at the store & frame them to hang on the wall .. They look great and IMO better then any full size fish mount..
Sadly the water damage in my house destroyed all my pic mounts so I'm starting over.

HT, Thanks for the info  , I have been on a search for a good , but not too expensive  WP Camera. That can also take freezing temps. I destoyed one last year , but it was late Feb so I was able to finish the season  with my cell phone camera.

Sorry to hear about your water damage , That Sucks.  With those pictures that you posted looks like you are well on your way to replacing the wall photos with some great pieces of art .

I'm in the market for a new camera myself - always heard good things about Olympus.
I will put that model on my shopping list.

My trusty little Kodak finally gave up the ghost last week after 7 years of no-trouble use - viewscreen whiteout.
No waterdamage - it just died a natural death after thousands of photos.

    later
