lock up your gear

If your heading up soon, which you should by the latest reports, make sure you lock up your spare gear and get it out of sight. Numerous reports of parking lot thefts from scumbags preying on good fishermen trying to enjoy their day on the water. Also when in the lots keep an eye out for nosey people around other vehicles. Maybe we can catch these a' holes.

Stress is just one hookset away from being gone.

Here's a different kind of fishing- park a truck in one of the most hit lots and leave a couple three  rods hanging out over the tailgate. Put a blanket underneath the truck and bring a magazine a small pillow and a taser. When someone reaches in and begins to take the rods out, inch out a bit and fire the taser into their ****.  After all it does have a line, and if you think a foul hooked King jumps, just imagine.... Done with the proper voltage you can knock them down  a peg enough to set the taser up for round 2. Take the 12 wt., or surf stick from the truck, hook the 8/0 treble in the thief's**** When they can get up and move, point the taser at the already affected area  and and tell them "run like a salmon MF'er, run like a F'in salmon!"  Should produce some satisfying drag screaming, if you can hear over the real screams, that is...  Sounds kinda fun to me, course, I'm sick, very sick...

My truck is so beat, no scumbag would think anything of value would be in it. They would be right to. Actually the only thing i have ever had stole from my truck was a 6 pack cooler full of beer and ice, it was in the box and was gonna have a cold one after the float but was gone, oh well little lukeys was open.

Was up on the SR last Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  A guide recommended I park at the Sportsman Pool North and make the long trek in for first light Sunday morning.  Arrived at that lot, saw no other cars and decided against fishing that spot.  I felt it was too risky and remembered reports of cars getting broken into last year.  Why invite trouble?
