heads up

This is kinda difffrent cause I'm bouncing off a post on another forum but think it deserves attention-
Seems a new guy to the SR had a real nice new rod stolen from his Veh in an upriver parking lot today- makes matters worse they broke into the veh. to get his cased rod.
PLEEEEEASE if any  of you saw anything suspicious read the other forum and get hold of the guy/  As you can tell I HATE crooks. Ya work hard and go out and pick stuff out and some @@@ #### comes along and take it.
Keep your eyes open guys and dont leave anything out where they can see it in the car or truck.

I agree RT.. I think there is nothing worse then a low life scumbag theif..
I have lived in this house 26 years.. Never , ever, have I locked my doors and I have some pretty expensive equipment in plain site in my yard.. Not once have I had a problem..

Sadly my son lives in a decent (well so i thought) neighborhood and has had things stolen from his car and front yard 3 times..

Theifs are the scum of the earth to me..

Had a burglary right after I retired from LE. Wife got in just after the guy left. Hit us hard too.
Still have mixed feelings bout not gettin home when I had intended bout half hour before the wife. He was still here according to a neighbor.
I carry and I dont like crooks.
Hope his back hurts from bending over- he got caught sent up. Ahhhh justice.

Been there done that on the upper lot on the UFZ several years ago.The creeps came back while we were getting ready to leave and asked how the fishing was. It's a long story but they were caught later that year by undercover State Police. They got greedy and thought they were too smart to get caught.

car insurance should cover it and he should also report it stolen to the mfg.. they may also replace it. I know Sage would.

I remember that year. only took the gear I needed to fish. got into a great day of fresh kings that were swiping good. after landing 9 that day I blew my rod up good. shattered all 4 sections. Sage shipped me a new one fed ex and I had it the following morning. I had other rods but Sage wanted me to fish their rods.
was glad they got those guys.

did this happen up at altmar last caught some punk looking around my truck we stopped to check out the view and my brother went up to truck and here was some guy standing next to the truck looking in the back
he said he thought it was his friends and left but we watch him go by some other cars and look in them
some one should sit him up and when they call 911 it might look like he ran into a tree face first

Hey SGt- if that was this year might be a decent thing to call L/E up there with a description of the guy- just in case-every little bit helps.

I never carry spare rods in the vehicle, and don't use them fancy rod tubes either - a scumbag thief does not know if the tube is empty or not b4 they do the smash and grab.. Electronics & even spare change is emptied b4 I park my truck in isolated areas.

HT - like you, I live in a place where doors are not locked. However, last year, I had a POS prowling around my yard and he had a very quick conversation with the end of a 12ga barrel. I came very close to pulling the trigger.

    Nothing lower than a thief.

RT - I highly doubt that guy will ever see his equipment again.
