Pine Creek

Has anyone fished Pine Creek lately? I would imagine the flow is back to normal now after all the rain we got last week and over the weekend. Any trout left from the summer heat?

In a couple weeks there will be some fish in the DH section. Creek is in descent shape since the rains. Still low for my liking.

Last i fished it was end of August. Lots of smallmouth for me and no signs of trout. Doesn't mean they are not there, might just mean my appproaches did not appeal to them.

has the clarity gotten any better now that the lake is filled up again, or is it still muddy/silty?

It doesn't stay as muddy after rains since they filled the lake. You will have your usual stream runoff but it doesn't stay blown out for weeks, only days. Last spring every step you took silt would just be everywhere. Hoping that has started to clear up.

Came across a few smallmouth the other day but no sign of trout. I think the summer heat was really rough on them this year. They should be putting some fish in there soon though. Hope we start getting some cooler nights for them though.
