From what I understand, there are small ones being caught.  But my question is: "Where are all the 13-14" bass".  The lake should be full of them.

    Are they walking out?????

I've been saying that for years, thousands of 10-12 inch bass. I've only ever seen one big one, and it was huge. At least 5lb, but only saw the head sticking out of some weeds. I bass fish a dif lake now. But its still fun around spawn time for numbers throwing soft plastics w an ultra light. You catch one about every 5 ft.

Yeah, thats how I remember the twin lakes. Used to fish there all the time when I was a teenager, great place to just walk around with some tube worms and catch some bass. I did hook into about an 18 incher once, but I only saw a flash of him before he spit the hook.

hey Don what would you think of this.  instead of tlfa stocking trout at twin lakes how about stocking channel cats.  maybe not during the cooler months but i think it would be great to put something in there that can be caught once water temp gets too high for trout.

There's already enough c. cats in there. No need to stock more............

Well other fish stocking has been brought up, but the club was founded for the purpose of trout stocking.

Maybe if we got enough people to come to the meetings some changes could be made.

I was told you can get permits at the boathouse for night fishing? Are they open saturdays at all or only during the week. I wanted to head out there soon for some carp fishing.

I've never brought myself to put in the time to catch a cat out of there. Lots of pics of big ones in the boat house though.

the boathouse is open during the weekend, i'm not sure of the hours though.  i think the night permit costs $3, make sure you bring your fishing license with you.

Was going to try for the same next weekend, but looks more likely I'll be headed to Tionesta instead.
If I can get out there in Oct, I'll let you know accordbw.............

Rather disappointing turnout for the meeting.  Some people are asking about changes to the program and the same 7-9 people show up.   Hummmmmmmmmmmmmm

Never seen any c.cats there but i've caught a 17" brown bullhead...  As for the bass when I was out there in the spring I think the biggest I caught was 13" and biggest I saw was maybe 15-16" laying up in the corner near the dam on the upper lake...

Tired going to the meeting and no one wants to listen to new ideas. There are more fish to catch then just trout, some choose to not see that. Some fish habitat work would benefit all the fish but its just easier to dump more trout in the lakes.
