Is the water levels at the outflow of the dam back to normal? They were working on it and had the dam shut off a couple days ago.

Hey Ymess,

We were up fishing the outflow Friday and the creek was less than a foot deep in spots. As we were leaving around 6 o'clock it looked like they opened the valve and started letting water go. There was a large rush of water as we were walking out. I'm not sure if they were just letting some water go, or if they were going to let things back to normal. But, we did well fishing while the water level was down so I wasn't complaining. (Crappie, Perch, etc.)

Yeah the outflow was normal, actually slightly higher than normal as of yesterday when I drove and checked it out.  I hooked into about a 38" musky down there when they had it shut off.  I figured it would be a good chance to throw some top water seeing there was no turbulence or current.  I was using my musky rod and gear for that and a minnow under a float for anything else on my ultra-lite with 4lb test, and go figure it hit the minnow.  I landed it well within 5 minutes even with the light tackle, took a pic and released it just before they opened the gates and started flooding us out.  The water rose a good 3' within 2 minutes and the current was ripping through there, so we left and went elsewhere.

The worst day hunting or fishing will always be better then the best day at school or work!
