Allegheny River or Arthur

After looking at the waterdata.gov sites it is clear that i will not be fishing the mon or yough.
The allegheny up near Freeport/Kittaning did not look as bad number wise on the website....

In fact lookin at the river from the Highland Park Bridge and up near Harmarville has convinced me furthur that it may be ok.

Can always just go to Arthur though or some other non-flood control lake.

Anyone think I might be mistaken about Freeport though?

    you are fine to fish the river i always check the usgs discharge charts this is the one i use for the allgheny

    i wont fish the allegheny if this is reading any higher than about 28,000

    Dont know if it will help you any now but as of today i was out on the allegheny around kittaning and it was high and muddy and full of debris.

    Thanks....never made it out......Just as well I guess...how'd you do avid.....any musky?
