help-yough water levels in west newton

Thinkin of taking a kayak to fish from smithton to west newton, hows the water level? thanks!

    It won't take you long to make that trip right now.  This afternoon, it was almost up to the Bell Telephone Crossing sign near the VFW.

    Almost the complete Yough is high and muddy. To try and boat it now would be foolish and gambling your life.

    yeah its bad, we cancelled our trip for tomorrow and are gonna find a lake to kayak/fish.
    But as inconvenient as it is for us to not be able to fish, we have it easy compared to thousands further east. They are dealing with major flooding to their homes and even some loss of life.
