Griz over on Salmoncrazy says that they are blasting through town and those that are fishing are having a banner day.
Those Coho run the river very quickly in this high flow,I'll be looking for them next week:)

Oh My! Kinda figured this was gonna happen! I really wanna be there next week. Crossing fingers.

  I was on the Ballpark this afternoon and the guys were all leaving around noon when I got there. All said it was lousy all day- I stayed a coupla hours with one other guy a coupla hundred yards down from me and saw singles blast through at the rate of about one every half hour. And I mean BLAST.
Water rising and gettin murkey- stood in a spot where ya could see pretty well for bout half the river so coulda missed some on the other side but SLOW was the only word to describe.
Have read 3 or 4 reports from business so far since gettin home- those guys should get out and fish more often= Was great to see some fish but this IS early Sept and kinda normal
Fishie here and maybe or maybe not a fishie over there. very spotty and normal.
    Had a great trip with my one fish yesterday but I would bet a dollar we are on the verge of HOT or ON FIRE reports. - even before great October fishing- happens every year.
  If this was the ocean I'd boil some water off cause ya need a huge grain of salt for some of those reports. Here we go again $$$$$$$$$$$
    OH WAIT - maybe they were talking to those slashers I chatted with who were using 40- yes FOURTY- pound test.   THAT can lead to differing reports.

RT they weren't leaving the ballpark today. Idrove though to take a look and maybe drop in from your report.
Must have been at least 25 cars there at 12:30.
Took it as a hint to give the neck a rest and split for home.

I figured there would be a lot of #2 gremlins slappin the water so I rolled.

Wader- I park on the North side and walk up near the 81 bridge. Think most of the cars may have been parked on the South side- those guys fish way below there- cant even see any of them from up there. Some park there and then walk down to the South side of the Needle too.
Got to my parking place bout 1 and there were  4 or 5 other cars there- a dozen the day before. Guys were walking out  too.
Sounds like it got better today if they stayed- Early September.

Hey--Just read the other fourm and  guys reporting killing them in the lower Park to the Staircase today. Gotta be those from the DSR coupla days ago comin through. One guy reported over 40 hookups- so I got off the Forum-side swimmers and jumpers I bet.

  Dont recall the name of the building but you have to drive right past it at 10 mph. and then there is lots of parking  and a stone walking trail that goes all along by the river traveling upstream. Kinda opposite and above the Ballpark and picnic place on the South side. Kinda opposite the old Tonys.
    Got a small lot when ya first drive in that takes you to the North side of the island above the Needle but the other one with the walk gets ya way up toward the top of the run.
  Back when ya could park all the way down in the field too but that was stopped. Maybe you recall the transition to when they made this lot. Kinda nice over there and well used by fishermen. Excellent access all along the North side from that island all the way up to 81.
     Enter Pulaski NY real estate listings on the Putor Grab one of the agencies listings and pick out a place near town and then go to the areal views and move the curser till ya find it. Can travel the whole river that way too -neat. Can even move in close- most of the realtors are using 2011 satellite photos  now too. Almost as good as Google Earth but free.
