Tionesta outflow

Anybody fish the outflow to Tionesta lake ??

I drive over it everyday to go to work and it looks like some nice water.

Just wonder what fish are in there for the catching.

Thanks, BING.

You mean "from" Tionesta lake, below ? Yea it holds same as the river. Fishing can be good certain times of the year. Drive through to the dam, trough the camping area below the dam sometime.

I know its stocked with trout and apperently has a lot of muskies also. I only fished it twice last summer and only had luck with gills and some rock bass. I haven't fished any more times since when I'm up there I target wild brookies.

You can catch a lot of nice smallmouth if you hit it at the right time of year and as far as musky go...if your looking for big ones stay in the lake or river. Walleye in the spring.

They have a dam lower towards the river and can not access it with boat but I've see people float and wade it

    I haven't failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

You mean you cant enter the outflow going under rt 36 ? I only need 10" inches of water depth to jet.

I do believe that the trout they stock in tionesta creek are musky\pike snacks probably shortly after being put in.

Boat access is restricted in the outflow from the dam up. Probably has to do with the swimming area.

the little dam near the mouth is an old wood crib dam.  The wood timbers are spiked together with rebar that stick straight up, they will do a number on any boat.

Wasn't aware of that. Never tried to nav up the outflow. Thanks for the info.
