I am a member of TU and we have a Fly Tying Night twice a month where we try to get people who want to learn to tie to come in.

I provide everything, vise, materials, hooks, tools...

All at no charge, and don't have to be a member of TU either.

One of our regulars is Aaron Jasper there behind the vise. He has a couple of six page spreads in the current issues of American Angler and Fly Tyer magazines.

Also, a DVD out on Euro-nymphing.

Even I get in there to teach egg & marabou patterns for people coming up to the Salmon River for the first time.

To bad you were not close, tying is a great way to relax and enjoy the sport a little bit more.

It only takes one with the interest to get something like this going.

Then it takes on a life of it's own.

    Two questions.
How durable are the palmered marabou flies?
Is Jason tying on a regal vise.
I had-have,handed it down to my son, the original and have never had a better vice for larger flies since.
The squeeze and seize opening operation cuts tying time in half.
He's 24 now and into other pursuits so I'm thinking of borrowing it back., the vise is older,
