center pin fishing

Hello new to this site,love to steelhead fish interseted in center pin fishing ,any tips for equipment and tactics.I fish with 8wt fly rod also drift fish 9ft noodle rod, interested in any advice, what makes center pin tactic better than other methods. I would welcom any input mike

    Welcome to the site. I'll start by saying this Centerpin fishing is not as easy as some of us make it look. The hardest part of fishing this way is learning to cast once thats achieved you have to figure out how to control your float. Generally we use 10 to 13 foot rods. The reels range from 200 to 600 depending on the quality. If you want a lot of good information go to floatfishingconnection.com theres a ton of great advice on there.
