Where Am I - on the Salmon River

This is not a contest, it is FOR FUN, also to show what the river looks like to those who have never been up there, to educate.

I don't try to fool or trick you, many are very easy and popular locations, and every now and then I will throw in a tough one to keep the SR Vet's happy.

On those after a couple of guesses, I'll start giving hints to narrow down the location.

Good luck and have fun !

Like to fish there Dime but dont recall that gravel area on the S side as being that big on the bend leading down to the flat water above Tressel. Maybe the waters low enough to show more rocks than normal though.

Upper Fly Zone - Paradise Pool

I was standing on the west bank.

This section of the river basically runs north and south.

Most people park at the UPPER FLY ZONE Parking Lot or,

along Rt. 22 at what I call the Paradise Pool Parking Area

West bank.. lol.. I only separate the river by North/South as they are considered Northern & Southern hunting zones.. funny how the SR is the divider..

    Edit:
My only issue with the zones is THIS.. I guess it's not still dark at O-dark-thirty

I gladly let the early birds have their "spots" and find my niche'

Well, the rest of the river it is common to use the term north bank or southern bank.

    I do.

I use east and west banks when talking about the Upper Fly Zone because there are people out there that know the difference if they are facing north, east, south, or west.

If you choose to use the north for the west bank, and south for the east bank, by all means knock yourself out.

I also am well versed in Cardinal Points, Intercardnial Points, compass rose and what would truly throw me for a loop if the Levante Wind was behind me and the sun came up on my right....

PHEW.... I'd head directly for home to say good by too all my loved ones.

You are looking down on the Refrigerator Hole.

Which is just a bit more than 1/2 mile above the Pineville Rt. 48 bridge.

Also, it is the next location below the Honey Hole and just above that is the Snaggers Pool.

That one didn't last long up on the board.

    Way-To-Go Gentlemen!!!!

    Forgot to add the photo.

That is a first for me.

    Always been the Refrigerator Hole.

As stated heading up river the Honey Hole alongside the small island, just above the island the Snaggers Pool.

Now just down from the Refrigerator Hole you have Pinball alley, then Willow Run, followed by Vacuum Cleaner, Pineville Pool and the bridge itself.

So for me, could you please describe where you call to Can in relation to these other pools?

You will discover I like to learn the "other" names for all the pools and holes on the river.

    Thanks.
