New personal best smallie

Landed my new PB smallie on Saturday.  Weighed 6#11oz.  Didn't get a length cause I wanted to get it back in the water quick.

Either way it is a great fish.  Congrats and thanks for sharing.

    Nice fish Trout...

As for the rod, the only difference between pink and purple is grip strength...

    Very nice fish.  Congrats.

Caught from the Yough? Reason I ask is because I see you're from West Newton.

Afraid not.  Only fished the dam once this year and it SUCKED.  ALL of my other trips have been on Erie.  That one came from the Shades Beach area. (OH NO.....SPOT BURN!  should have swirled out the launch ramp in the background)

The yough river has some big smallies, that's why I asked.

I'd chit travel all the way to Erie to catch smallies when they're in our own backyard.  Why swirl if you caught it in Erie? LOL

cause I don't own a boat to fish the Yough, and you'd NEVER spend a day on the Yough with your smallest fish being 15" and all the others being between 3# and 6#

I understand what you're saying but you'd be surprised at the size of many of those smallies in the yough river.  I caught some giants fishing the cedar park section of the river.  There's some monsters living down in those boulders.
