Man's Body Recovered From Youghiogheny River

CONNELLSVILLE, Pa. -- Police are investigating a possible drowning at Yough River Park in Connellsville, Fayette County.

The body of a man believed to be in his 20s was recovered from the Youghiogheny River on Tuesday evening.

"Apparently we had some swimmers in the river. One was in the process of swimming across the river and was not able to make it to the other side. (He) subsequently went under and he was found about 30 minutes after that," said Connellsville Police Chief James Capitos.

Police have not released any further information.
