Typical August scenario. I know of a whopping two fish.....In, and right back out. Nothing to make me fill up on $3.65 gas and book a hotel rm. We're a full two months from decent trib fishing.

Na.. has more to do with the erge to spawn. The length of day light probably has more to do with the run then anything else. It's a natural instinct.. Why else would they leave the lake for a small trickle of water while getting plummited with 1 oz. sinkers and blue power bait... lol

MI kings will be running soon. Lake temps need to drop more, obviously, but mid September should be great. As I understand it MI steelhead run is best in the spring, but there is also a fall/winter run. They are more challenging than our canned chromers.

i also think its the temps of the creeks. thats why they come in and out. they come in and test the temps. if not rite they go back out. when its rite they signal to the rest of the gang and tell them to come on in.

. Your wrong it is length of day and urge to spawn. Water temp don't mean squat to get em in the trickles.

I bite back , a mouth full of dog hair really dont taste too good neither.

I really hate it when I have to hurt mans best friend.

Sometimes emptying a whole can of pepper spray in a dogs face just doesnt work.
