New to Walnut Creek

I am looking to take a little trip to walnut creek. Is there any spot there that I can use Rapala minnows and maybe nightcrawlers?

Toss your Rapalas at dusk or dawn. Fish the lake from the pier or the second or third break wall.Try a white mister twister. Have fun. Night crawlers off the bottom will catch you some sheephead.
