mountain lion in Ct

This will probably be a short one but someone asked a few weeks ago bout the Lion killed by a car here in Ct. First officials  wondered if it was in fact a Mountain Lion then if it was an escapee from a private owner.
Well apparently it was a male looking for its own territory and by DNA they found it came from way out West - believe it was North Dakota. This same male was identified here and there by DNA -(in poop?)- as it traveled East through areas where it was seen from time to time where Lions arent native.
Typically sightings round here were questioned and often seriously doubted.
Officials said this was not a common occurence here but I recall as LE we used to get similar calls from time to time and some by folks who seemed quite reliable- The only difference this time was a warm body.
I remember when they thought ya were nuts if ya said ya saw a Yote- nahhh just wild dogs - no Yotes round here--toopid. Then bear sightings and Moose sightings ---Now we got Bear , Moose, Yotes and that one darned big dead Cat.

Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

Welllll- here we go again-- more Mountain Lion sightings here in CT.  Officials are saying all the same things they said before- that is before they had the dead one.
