Hey metal that would be sweet if this site becomes droid native. My way of posting pics from my phone is emailing the picture to my regular email. Ithen download and open it to shrink the pic downto around 600... then I am able to upload... kind of a pain in the azz... Good to hear the rain is coming... Hey chart; I suppose your problem landing that king was more so your rod rather than your tippet. I have fished lower river in salmon season with a 7 weight before during times I accidently took the wrong rod or didn't have a #9 with me.... to say the least; most #7's do not have the backbone to turn a large strong fish. I do have a thomas and thomas 13' 7 weight that can sustain kings well; but that's not common... Ps... I have some pics that im working on loading up... beware hot tuna...lol... Let the suspense begin.......

hysterical tuna... hey i was thinking since the skin shots are getting so popular in here; why not throw one up; well, half skin i guess; but if you think about it; this one could fit in to the fly tying thread... i bet someone could come up with some crazy fly using my chest hair...lmao..............

I just want to know how many salmon db is going to catch with only 7 days left in order to beat me out of my only 2 days of salmon fishing in sept this year .. LOL ... To his credit though, it can happen during a Labor day release..

I did give credit though that it's very possible Labor day weekend..
Now, my stick is as dull as a cheap Chinese knife but I will edit it out a little just to make it even duller.. One must always remember though, this is all about B.S. anyone that takes this **** serious, well, I'd suggest to get a life other then the interweb fishing forums.

Braindead amateurs like me, might just go Labor Day weekend to see what getting skunked feels like. I will bring some smallie gear.  Never been to the DSR, may have to just walk around and look at the water. I guess I could waste 45 bucks on worse things. Charlie

Going off than on topic.
Was sitting in my vehicle this afternoon on a Giant store parking lot when the van starts rocking,what the heck who is rocking the car I thought,no one there,then it stopped.Got out of vehicle went in store and picked up a few things,when I got to check out everyone there was talking about a earth quake and then it made sense about the rocking van.Wife called and said she felt nothing but two others she talked to had their furnishings shaking in the house,one friend ran outside it was that bad.Anyone of you feel it?
Drake,yep we got plenty of rain but a lot more is on the way.

Hey jack; I was digging a foundation today that was all bank run with tight boulder clusters. I was stuck in one corner for an hour trying to get a few monster boulders out... my father got a call right after we got them out regarding the earthquake that happened; I sware I must of caused it Hey tunes; im up this sunday and monday... you know you'll be first to know if I stumble upon one... id hate to let this be the first year since 96 that I didn't get atleast 1 in august....

come to think of it; this day 13 years ago at this time; i was grilling fresh salmon on a grill while looking forward to the next day of fishing with maybe just one other angler in my presence (my father) and yes, that trip alone i probably DID land more kings than some guys who fished the river for a few years... i lost count the first day on around 20... ps; i missed the edit but since you did edit it out; i figured i'd take the bait anyways and throw it right back atchya... you know me by now, i cant help it sometimes... lol

but tuna, labor day week end isnt august...  hey good luck out on the lake... i heard some fish are in pretty close; large schools plotted but not biting; tight bellies with nothing in them; noses hooking up already... rooster tails in DSR... the time is sooner than later... pics will be posted even if nothing is caught. recent pics are no problem for me, its the oldies that i have to scan that become a pain...

Metal & HT - that was a handheld camera pic taken about a week or so ago. I toss carrots and apples for him and he will come within 15 feet of me.
Most likely a local bow hunter will whack him - unless I can lure it into my shed and keep him safe until rifle season starts...LOL
I have not hunted deer in many moons (mostly a crow/coyote hunter).
But the prices of beef in the grocery store have made me determined to pack the freezer with vennison this year. Got two doe tags in addition to the regular buck license, and have access to private lands so I don't have to venture out in the State Game Lands full of orange clad nitwits. We will see how it goes.
Sounds like the mudsharks are going to run on DSR's opening day!!!!!

Dime,are you anywhere near the coast?This looks like a impending disaster for the coastline from N Carolina up to New England.It looks like it's going to be bad inland where I live but along the coast it is going to be really bad.They are predicting a cat 4,that's 150 mph wind,and it don't get much worse than that!Let us hope something changes and it goes out to sea.

Im 15 miles in from the hudson in the northeast corner; so I may get hit bad. When floyd hit in 99 we got 15 inches in one shot... let's see what happens. We've already gotten 3 storms that have flooded surrounding areas of mine... luckily im above any flood zones; but withthese times and the mass development that has gone on in the past 15 years; the flood zones seem to be getting bigger these days...
