What is the "One Fly"

Gentlemen,
It seems like every year I get 20 pm's asking "What is the "One Fly". So I'll explain it and you guys can add to it.
The "one Fly" is a fishing competition where you get one and only one fly to catch as many fish as you can in a set period of time. In this case it's 4 hours. It has become a rendezvous type weekend for quite a few of the fly fishermen from the Erie tribs.
It started with a get together with a few friends where we would meet up on Friday night, have a great meal, talk about the fishing on Saturday, Fish and have a small stream-side meal on saturday and then play poker till the wee hours of Sunday morning. The awarding of an antique bamboo rod for 1st place is symbolic of fishing at it's purest form and again came from betting among my group of friends (which numbers about 200 now).
We promote catch and release fly fishing and all fish are deemed caught when they are netted or brought "to hand". We also promote thanking the people who allow us to utilize their land by contributing to the "Fruitbaskets for Landowners" program thru the auspices of the Gem City Fly Tyers.
Anybody want to add about their experiences?

It is a gathering of friends and a place to make many many new friends that share the same passion.

I think the fishing is secondary to the generosity that abounds at this event.

in dark to cloudy water or after a rain shower i use a long, fat bodied, brown woolly bugger. works great on trout and bass both smallies and largemouths.
