Well, I won't be renting any boat since I have my own. I like to be in control of things while fishing for various reasons....I just hope we get enough involvement to make this happen without anyone having to go out on a head boat. We will see.

I have finally got the approval to switch days off work , so I am able to make it. I have contacted a captain and will be assisting him in the harvest of fish.

From the sounds of it yinz are having issues as to whether or not this outing is possible. I hope the differences yall are having will resolve themselves out. I would like to fish with all of you again , had a great time after the harvesting at the fish fry.

Regardless of what happens I will be fishing on this day since I got the day off work.

I will go IF there is an open spot on a boat. If another person wants to fish that doesnt have the luxury of getting out with guys like King Nuke or shutupnfish on a fairly regular basis, I will just see everyone at the picnic for a bit. Basically, Im volunteering to be the odd man out if needed.

Are all the captains planning on fishing out of Conneaut?

I might be able to make the trip, if so I would have room for 2 passengers.

I have to check my schedule, I might have softball playoffs that weekend.

it's captains choice of where you launch, then once passengers get divided to the boats you guys can work out the details of where and when.  thanks for the offer if you can make it.

and bloodyhand, thanks for the update

Okay, as of now we have more passengers than open seats. I will talk to some more captains and see what I can get. Also, working on a picnic and fish cleaning area at the moment. Will update. Let's get a food list going. General Picnic food is good. Also need plates, cups, utensils, etc. We will cook some of the fresh fish from the day as well. Hamburgers, hotdogs, buns, chips, salads, beverages (BYOB), Desserts etc.

I'm available to captain. However, my boat is slipped in North East and will be departing from there, and then driving over to the shindig. I will be pulling away from the dock at 5am and targeting 'eyes...at least initially. I should have one or two open seats.

you can scratch 1 of my buddies from the list. it will be my wife and i attending. we would like to target perch and will be able to luanch from where ever we need to. i dont mind traveling or pitching in on what ever it takes to get me some perch in the freezer, but as long as we can get on a boat it doent matter much, especially if the eyes are like the ones that they where bringing into the campground this past weekend. they where giant. 9 to 11#s. i wouldnt mind hooken into some hog walleye like that. but like i said we will be in erie to fish reguardless.

Looks like there is 2 captains going out of PA, and the rest going out of Conneaut. Is there anybody that has a problem buying a 1 day ohio fishing license (assuming that you don't have one). They are $11 and you can buy them online prior to the event. Also, is there anyone that lives close to North East or has a problem driving to North East?

i will be at camp at pine lane campground. i could go eighter direction. like i said earlier i would rather target perch if able to. the wife and i can also get the ohio license if need be. are you reffering to the bayfront by northeast? we make that drive alot to fish the EJ. im not sure where or how far conni. is the other way. we are in reguardless.

Sorry for the late notice but my daughter in law still hasn't had her baby and her cesarian is scheduled for 8-15.  My son doesn't want to rock the home waters by fishing away all day on the 20th.  Hopefully I can get him up there later in the season.  Thanks to all for considering us.  Good luck with the outing.  Dave

go to the end of your campground driveway and turn left and head west on 5 for about 12-15 minutes... Welcome to Conneaut.  Very nice dance club called "Velvet" along the way.

No problem with purchasing an Ohio Licence.. nor traveling to Conneaut, Walnut..Or North East... My only true preferance is fishing for walleye as opposed to perch...

Looks like Beev would be a good fit for my boat then.
