I just looked at the freeport lock and dam on google maps and was wondering if anyone knows if you can fish here or has fished here.

Yes.  You can fish either side of the river.

Are you talking shore access or boat access? Either way, you can fish both. There is PAFBC boat ramp on Buffalo Creek about 2 miles down from L&D #5 which gives you access to this pool.

There is shore access on both sides of the lock I believe.

There are paths leading down to the river, however you will notice that the uppermost portions are fenced off and restricted from fishing. You can fish anywhere down from these points. It is more or less the same as all the lock and dams on the 3 rivers.

Thanks for the reply, I am talking about shore access mainly for cat fish or what ever decides to take the bait :)

Does anyone put bigger boat in at the Buffalo Creek launch? I've put my 12' v-bottom in there with no problems, but was wondering about taking my 19' deep V as the creek doesnt seem all that deep in some spots.

I have a 16' deep v that I've put in at Buffalo Creek several times.  It is shallow...  I bumped my prop once.  I think if you're careful, you won't have too much trouble.  It's 3-4 feet in the middle of the creek from the launch to the bridge but stay to the middle or you're asking for trouble.  I suspect I bumped my prop on a log or something...

I also have a 16 ft deep V never had any trouble there. After launching and going under the rail road bridge (stay to the right side tunnel) make sure you continue to stay to the right, as there is a sand bar on the left then you can get out in the main channel.
I keep my motor trimmed up high until I get out in the channel.

I live in Freeport. I fish and launch our 16' bass boat/90 horse outboard at least once a week there. Lundmans description is right on. Stay in the middle of the creek till the "tube" then take the right side stay to the right till you get past the point, then open her up!
