1964 Johnson Seahorse 9.5 Long Shaft

UP FOR SALE IS A 1964 JOHNSON SEAHORSE 9.5 LONG SHAFT MOTOR, TILLER HANDLE. RECENT MAINTENANCE INCLUDES:

* CARB COMPLETELY TAKEN APART, CLEANED & ADJUSTED
* NEW COILS
* NEW POINTS
* LOWER UNIT OIL CHANGED AND PRESSURE TESTED
* NEW SPARK PLUGS
* FITTINGS GREASED
* NEW STARTER ROPE

RUNS GOOD, BOUGHT BOAT THAT NEEDS A SHORT SHAFT SO I CANT USE THIS ONE. MOTOR LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF CLEVELAND IN WICKLIFFE.

    Just an FYI, I used a long shaft 9.9 on a 12 foot boat for years, worked fine.

    Come to think of it I still have the 12 foot boat, where are you located?

    I am in Wickliffe on the East side of Cleveland.. From everyone I talked to it really cuts down on the motors performance when you have a longer shaft than is called for. But I am by no means an expert. I appreciate the input though. Plus the added bonus the short shaft was electric start.
