Leadmen, went out of ashtabula wednesday with a couple buddys, walleye fishing. 72ft was the better depth with large schools showing on the finder. Got our 3 man limit of some very nice eyes using dipsys with harnesses. Tried spoons and sticks too but meat was the ticket taker.

I know how well that wire works but if i can avoid running baits back 240 or more feet, i take it. These old shoulders cant take as much cranking as they use too. Love to fish sticks behind dipsys tho. Couldn't get them going on the sticks that day. Definetly try again next time out. Hope you have a great time this weekend. Back to crappie fishing for me.

Was out wednesday with a buddy from ohio and T O . tough day. we got 5 eyes and a steelie. just too much bait in the area we started at. Got all our fish after 11am and then it got too hot to stay out. 71ft with dipsies and harnesses got em all. Nothing on the inlines or wire.

Went out last wednesday with my buddy Adam from ogf. We put 15 in the box between three of us. He let me use some of the stuff i bought from fishusa. Spoon-harnesses worked early but when the white perch started stealing my bait, i switched to straight spoons and caught a few more. Had to get off the lake as it kicked up to 4 to 6 footers. Took two hours to get back in from almost 12 miles out. Still, not a bad day fishing. I have a picture of my share of the catch i'll post when i can find it. I hope you're having as much fun as i am. I actually cranked in three fish back to back to back, all in about 15 minutes.

Went out of ashtabula with my buddy's Adam and Q. We got 18 really nice eyes. Only one smaller than 23", with the biggest at 31", 10.7lbs. Harness-spoons and double willows on jet50's and dipsys did the job. More details on the OGF erie forum under Nicklesman's report.

Just wondered if you got out and how you did. We didn't do so well saturday. Put 9 in the box between 5 of us. Marked a lot of fish but just couldn't get them to bite. Tried sticks on wire, sticks on dipsys, spoons, and harnesses. Even tried the dreamweaver spoon harness. Just a tough day. Maybe next time. We went out of conneaut saturday. Had some of the same problems you did with the wire. Lots of sheep on it too. 450 ft of crankin and 50ft from the boat, it starts spinning. Glad i didn't touch not one wire pole all day.
