There are some fishing forums more local to Ocean City, MD.  You might ask there for some advice!  (google is your friend)

I would reccomend NOT going on a party boat. We spent more time getting our lines untangled than fishing. It was elbow to elbow the whole way around the boat.Looked like the E.J. on a busy day. The only thing that I saw caught was small fish. Never went back. One guy hooked a small shark, but the Captain cut it off, said it would take too much time to land it. sam

I have been going to OCMD for 30 years and the best place find out anything about fishing there is a newspaper called Coastal Fisherman. Check out their website- www.coastal-fisherman.com. You can look thru current and past issues. They have links to many charter boats. The articles can give you a lot of information about all kinds of fishing in that area. Good luck!

OOP, there is a good bait store around 80-90th street. I went in there last year for some advice so i could take my daughter bayside fishing. I am sure he could tell you which charter would be good. Very friendly.

Fighter jets out of Oceana shaking the boat takes a little getting used to.
    Piers rattle also.

the oc princess is a big head boat and i have had alot of fun on it. they give you squid to catch sea bass and ling cod.   bring some live minnows or frozen cigar minnows and you will get into some bigger fish.  also bring a spinning rod with a 4 or 5 inch spoon.  if you see some dolphin cast at them. i have pulled a few dolphin off the head boat. you gotta be quick though. they disapear fast. the back of the boat is the place to be.  get there early and try to get on the back.

there are plenty of charters to be had. you can usually find some make up charters so you don't have to buy the whole boat. i caught a few nice yellow fins down there.

http://www.atbeach.com/fishrpt.html  sue foster puts out a little book that tells you everything you need to know about shore fishing in ocean city.  get one shipped to you before you go.

the oceanic pier has been one of the best places i have ever fished.  it is a small pier at the inlet. fish high tide (+or- 2 hours).  i have caught tons of stripers, blue fish and sea trout off that pier. last year when i was there a guy caught a 48" striper .spec rigs and gotcha plugs used to be the hot bait. you can buy them at the pier.

assateague island is a great place to surf fish.  plus you get to see wild horses running along the beach. they can be mean and have been known to bite. it is a beautiful place and not to be missed.

ocean city is a great place to fish.  it has always been one of my favorites.
