Tournament Fishermen

Anybody else on these boards compete in tournaments at any level? Im just wondering what is your go to lure. Personally i always have a drop shot rig with a zoom centipede or super fluke rigged at any tournament i enter

     Yeah,

    Hasn't enough money to spend for pro. His little buddy is going as pro though.

    explain the drop shot rig. i dont think ive even tried it before. i fish flukes all the time but usually in the top of the water column.

    It's simple, all it is is a drop shot weight on the bottom with a hook and soft plastic up the line...Here's a picture of it...

    Anyhow, it depends on the weather and body of water for what I use/start with.  A spinnerbait is one of my favorites, but some of my other go to baits are always a crankbait, dropshot, fluke on weighted hook and jig-n-pig...I'm actually heading out tomorrow to play with some bass and have some fun...

    The worst day hunting or fishing will always be better then the best day at school or work!
