NEW FISHING PARTY BOAT
Just read on GoErie.com of the new fishing boat to arrive in Erie. Should give the EJ some much needed competition/relief. Called the O Danny O, owned and operated of by Tim Sedney who also owns Rum Runners. Just glad I now own my own boat. Did enjoy my times on the EJ and Victory tho. My god, how bad was the Victory damaged that this teacher can't get this boat back in the water? It was a 50/50 split on which perch boat I would go out on, always did better on the Victory. If the V could get back in the water, that would be 3 party boats for Erie. Never minded paying what the perch boats were asking. 30 bucks ain't crapola for these captains to put you on fish. AND TRY THEY DO! I'm towing 25 miles(one way), plus the gas in both boat motors, don't think there's a whole lot of comparison here. For non-boat owners, this is a screamin' deal. So, for all you people reading the fishing reports, if the perch pack is catching, so is the EJ. If he's not, he'll move in search of perch, and half the pack will follow. Don't get ****ed that you paid your $30 and brought home 3 perch. So did I as a private boat owner. Last week, the pack killed 'em early on in the week(limited Mon and Tues in 2 hours), so did the EJ. 2 days of 8 ft waves scattered the school. I knew not to go out but I did anyway on Friday. 5 perch in 4 hours. The John, by hook or by crook, catching or not catching, goes out twice a day. Did I know the perch weren't going to be there? Sure, but the perch boats will go out twice a day, so it is up to you, the fisherman, to know what Lake Erie has to offer, and how a couple of days of WEATHER will affect the fishing. As a boat owner I'm learning, and learning big! Kinda missing my time on these boats with my 5 year old grandson. A whole lotta less work. But that 5 year old is 14 now, and kinda like my little Gilligan! But oooweee, can that boy fish!!!!!!!!
