As,m others have written , trout , as well as all other fish guts , goes in the garden . It does wonders for the soil !

Wow, 2 pages on trout guts.  What yinz do with the 1oz fillets ought to go 6-7 pages!

OK soo many mixed emptions from me on this issue...i always gutted my trout in the river and threw the guts in the water...the ducks were all over them, and im sure other fish or whatever ate the rest...i never realized this was littering or hurting our environment..my wife is not havin guts in the freezor...lol..but i will make do...i never considered myself a slob for gutting my trout in the water....heck the deer guts are in the woods as stated before..i dont have a garden at the moment but i do eat trout and always have...to hear someone waste a whole fish in a garden when some people eat them annoyed me...but oh well...just ashame you would not release them for others to eat or enjoy catching...oh well....my 2 cents
