Lake Arthur

I will be heading to Lake Arthur for some fishing in my **new used old boat** on Saturday for the first time.
although I have plenty of boating experience once it is in the water, I would say I am somewhat of a novice at launching.

My late father always handled that before or I went into an already moored boat.

where is the easiest launch, less crowded to use?

I would say the 528 launch (not the church side) would be the easiest. But it is not the least crowded. But another thing you have in your favor is 4 lanes to launch from depending on the size of your boat.

    Remember the plug!

Not sure if any are any easier or less crowded than others. I think the only tricky one, is the lower 528. The others all seem to be good launches. Nice docks and tow vehicle stays relatively flat ground with trailer in the water. Just go in with confidence when backing in. It's when you second guess yourself, is when you end up getting cockeyed and flustered...

Also, remember to get all of your gear ect. loaded prior to getting on the dock (staging area or parking spot). You should only be at the dock for as long as it takes to park your tow vehicle. Unless your motor decides to not start ect. There isn't much worse than waiting for someone to load their boat while it is taking up a dock space.

Good luck and have a blast.

don't mean to hijack a thread or anything, but I am thinking of trying Lake Arthur for the 1st time Sunday.
is there anything I should know about docking(fees, etc)? Also, anyone care to share any tips for getting into stripped bass? Or any fish on the lake for that matter? Thanks in advance, and sorry again for the hijack,RTH

How many French Canadians does it take to float a boat?
