Should never put 2 guys over or close to 300lbs each in a 14ft boat, in 2ft waves on any lake, let alone Pymy. Can't be much water clearence after you include the weight of any size motor. Pymy has taken the life of more than one of my friends so please be careful out there.

Yepper..... 3 footers for sure, I was up there with my buddy, on lake at 7:45 fished south end ...North end was just to crazy for me. I have 16' Sylvan w/9.9 motor that handles the whitecaps pretty good....So much for that anyhow, fishing wasn't to bad but no legal eyes, some perch & white bass, no crappies tho, thought that was strange but a bunch of blue army guys....lol

The cats were crazy, they have been hitting pretty good the last few weeks now...I caught a few eyes from 8" to 14 1/2"...I haven't picked up any keepers in a few weeks now up there...

Looks like you're either trolling or have a fish on that rod right behind you as well.  Either way nice fish!  I'm trying desperately to get back up there one last time before the weather gets way to hot.

That's what I thought Mika. It looked like you were drifting in the pic with the bass so I figured you were doing the same when you caught the eye. Nice fish!

Hot-n tots or harnesses on the south end. Try the deeper water during the day and around submerged timber/cribs.
Drifting with crawler tipped jigs also works if there is a little wind.

Went out Saturday and caught about 45 eyes, all small, some cats and some nice crappie, all were released, all in about 4 hours or so...

Headed out again Sunday for 2 1/2 hours and caught 9 eyes with 5 keepers and 4 slabs.  Picked up some small perch and catfish also...These are the ones that came home...smallest in the pick was 16" largest was 18". The other smaller ones were 9" up to 14 3/4"

Over the last 2 weekends now we have caught 180+ eyes with 9 keepers...Definitely having a blast like the early 90's again...3 people in the boat and a fish on all 6 rods at once!!!  Can't remember the last time that happened...

The worst day hunting or fishing will always be better then the best day at school or work!

Had a good day on Sunday, but I think I may have gotten a little lucky.  I caught a 28" and 26" walleye on crawler harnesses as well as a few smaller ones.

Fished 6/11 with the old man.  we fished north of the causeway from 7:30 to 12:00 noon.  we caught at least 20 small eyes, three keepers, and a couple crappies.  White twister tail tipped with a piece of crawler did the best.  Great day.

That's a pig for an inland eye. Always said I would mount an eye over 30" from an inland lake. Still waiting..

How to catch a 30 inch inland eye:  Late fall/early winter fishing, trap some big chubs, put on your deer hunting clothes, fish a place where a feeder stream enters French Creek and be patient.  To catch one at Pymatuning is a remarkable fish.  A real survivor to live that long on such a pressured lake.  The British Empire at its height didn't have a navy like Lord Admiral Yoder has and his family of Amish sailors straining the high sea of Crawford County.  Huzzah.
