corn flakes used to work for me when i was younger....get them wet and smoosh them onto your hook and squeeze the water out and pack it on real good. its hard to keep them on like bread balls. Carp love crayfish too. When i fish for carp i send my wife down to my spot and have her throw a can of whole kernel corn in the water before it gets dark so when i get off work and we can go hit that spot and we use corn on our hooks with a slip rig. I never fished paradise lake but when you get there throw a few handullf of corn in the water 15 feet out and fish that area. I could normally tell if there was fish near if i could see bubbles coming up off the bottom

Better yet, fish somewhere the fish aren't so pressured and you don't have to pay!

I fish paradise all the time..DONT GET CAUGHT WITH CORN!!!!! Go to the web site paradiselakes.net,There is a list of no,no's no corn,no soy,no hog mash,no chow.... If you pm me i will tell you what i catch fish on,corn meal is always good...1.1/4 cup water,1.cup corn meal... boil the water, then turn to low,add cornmeal slow as you stir it,when it all comes together put it on a plate and flatten it to 1",let it cool for 5min,flip it cool completly..... Wheat germ,1.jar,1/2.cup water,2tbl peanut butter,2tbl hot sauce,1/4.cup molassis, heat water, peanut butter, molassis, hot sauce to a light boil, mix well then shut it off add germ stir real good...It will be tight but thats what you want... You don't need a trout stamp after may 31 unless you want to keep trout. At Westm'd Cnty. Park lakes, you do need a nite fishing permit if you want to fish after dark. sam

On page 29 in the top of the middle colum, tells you when you need it in approved trout water.Neither lake is open year round. They are closed from April 1 til first day in our area. That is what the asterisk means as shown in the green bar next to where it says "water goverend by these regs".Also you do need the tag to keep trout in the waters that are open year round. The trout water listed as open all year in the southwest are listed on top of page 15.Twin lakes is listed as "approved trout waters", so I think that you don't need a stamp after May 31. I am going to take a couple of asprins now. sam

I hear Benthook has some baitrunners for sale. That's perfect for carpin'. If he don't come thru, I think I can help you out, but no bait runners.

You might want to re think cheap.... A 10 lb carp will cook the the drag and bearing's on a junk real... you can get a 7 bearing reel that is not to much$$$....

I've bought my share of cheap rods and reels over the years, never had one cook.
