Let us know how it goes for you I've been wanting to try some non standard baits myself. Live trout drum perch and white bass are all on my list of bait I wanna try. You ever use ne of these?

Not sure what you mean by non-standard, but I dont think Ive ever had a night where I went out with crappies that I didnt atleast have runs on them. Ive never had any luck keeping live trout alive for very long after they get a 10/0 through their nose and dunked in the river. Most of the time they end up getting slit and/or cut. Ive used white bass before and had mixed results, but Im assuming it had nothing to do with the bait. Bullheads are good and fairly easy to find. Rockbass are one of the heartier baits along with bullheads, and both will catch fish. I like LMs also. Ive caught flats from Templeton on the Allegheny all the way down to Charleroi on the Mon using LMs. NO BAIT IS TOO BIG!!!

Also suckers work good and are pretty easy to get during the summer. Cut carp is also a good choice and EASY to get.

That place closed down about three months after it was opened, and I have never seen anyone even attending the pits.  G'd Luck on getting that pothole stocked.
