Little Shenango

I,ve fished it three times and so far 4 smb...next trip 5 suckers...next trip 4 chubs.
I only saw 1 trout caught. Did the high water kill or wash them down into the river?
I tried bh pheasant tails...prince...caddis...streamers...muddlers...wolly,s.all to no avail.
There was a large hatch of grannon on Monday with no surface activity. WTHeck!
A local stream for me so not much gas wasted but guess I will have to travel to get any action.
Just can,t figure what happened to the trout.

thats my home waters and with all the high water all the trout are washed into shenango river or shenango lake i have caught trout in years past all the way down to big bend so they could be any where from greenville to the lake.

i tried little shenango this afternoon and seen some fish, unfortunately a few youngins swimmin(swearing, goofing around, throwing rocks, etc) ruined my chances. the trout and kiddos seem to like to swim in the same hole  . i would like to try it again, preferably morning when the kids are in school

so i made a dash to coolspring, got there at 6pm caught 13 trout. and a whole bunch of other species.

Went on Wednesday morning caught a couple browns and that was it water seemed pretty warm probably won't be Long before it gets too warm for the trout. I think I'm going to shenango dam after work for a while hopefully get some walleye for the freezer
